A Bit About Shelly

I was born in the Koonenays and raised on southern Vancouver Island. Early days in Victoria gave way to a move to the then rural community of Langford. Believe it or not, back in the days when there was not a single traffic light!

In my early 20’s I was drawn to the beauty of Sooke and soon moved here. I was involved in residential real estate sales and the construction industry and eventually raised my family in this welcoming town. My long history and familiarity with the region and it’s growth and changes have given me great insight into neighbourhoods and micro-climates.

I have a strong belief that home is the foundation of our families and society and try to help people achieve their goals through a genuine interest in what they are seeking. I tend to be very focussed and articulate and organization is my greatest strength.

A Bit About Ellen

I was born and raised in Southern Alberta, so, I’m a prairie girl at heart. However, Sooke and Victoria have been home now for thirty years. After raising a family and graduating from UVIC, I became active in my community while I worked. My real estate career is my life now that the family has grown. I enjoy the process of meeting, welcoming and helping my clients through the steps of buying, selling and moving.

Over the years I have gained a well-rounded knowledge of Southern Vancouver Island’s marketplace, the development of communities and neighborhoods, schools, facilities and amenities. With this knowledge I am able to make my clients successful buyers and sellers.

Competency is key. I am a Residential specialist, accredited Buyer's Agent and Senior's Real Estate specialist. I have consistantly ranked in the top 10% (in sales volume) of all realtors in the Victoria Real Estate Board area, as a top producer and award winner.

My business has flourished largely through the recommendations and referrals of past clients. My dedication to their needs and goals has resulted not only in sales, but in the establishment of a reputation built on trust and integrity.

Aside from real estate, I am involved with and support the Sooke Soccer Association, the Legion, Gardening Club, Sooke Philharmonic Orchestra, Community Choir, Sooke Fine Arts, and Chamber of Commerce. I am passionate about keeping family and good friends close, and I enjoy soccer, playing piano, hiking, swimming, art, music, beachcombing, education, gardening, good food, campfires, watching sunsets, traveling, fishing, surfing, snorkeling, laughing, and singing. That’s just off the top of my head!


Like all Canadian towns, Sooke and Victoria have large volunteer forces that give this area a fabulous spirit and a sense of community well being. And like all Canadian towns, Sooke and Victoria have their own beauty. Unlike other parts of Canada, however, our climate is mild, the winters are short and the climate does not require one to own a snow shovel!

The west coast climate offers endless exploring opportunities on the island year round. I know well the microclimates in Greater Victoria and Sooke. Incidently, the Sooke area is a tad cooler in summer but warmer in winter than Victoria. The evenings are cooler in summer than Alberta, so even in the height of summer, sleeping is a breeze. The air, particularly on the west side of the island, is lovely and pure, so a deep breath brings a smile to your face, summer and winter. It is truly rejuvenating.
